Hey you, I get it.
Life can feel really messy sometimes. It’s like you’ve got jam on your hands, and no matter how hard you try to wipe it off, you’re just stuck in that sticky feeling. Whether you’re a parent trying to navigate your child’s behavior, a couple trying to reconnect, or just trying to juggle the pressures of daily life, it’s easy to feel like the weight of the world is too much.
We’re living in tough times, and society is throwing a lot at us right now. From the personal struggles we face to the very real, very terrifying things happening in the world, it’s no surprise that you might be feeling anxious, fearful, overwhelmed, or just plain stuck.
But here’s the thing: you don’t have to do this alone. I’m not here to fix you, your partner, or your kids, and I don’t pretend to have all the answers. What I do offer is a safe space for families to come together and start making sense of the mess. Whether you’re navigating tough family dynamics, parenting struggles, or a big life change, I’ll be right there with you—offering guidance, tools, and the support you need to climb out of the muck. We’ll work together to find your next foothold, even when the climb feels impossible.
At Jam Hands, therapy is client-led. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all solution, but I’m here to help you figure out what works for you. Because after all, you are the expert in your own life.
I also take a decolonizing approach to therapy, because I understand how much societal pressures and systemic forces impact marginalized communities. If you’re feeling unheard, unsupported, or like the world is just too much right now, I see you, and I’m here to create a space where you can show up authentically and start healing.
So, whether you’re trying to reconnect as a couple, support your neurodivergent child, or just make sense of the daily chaos, I’m here for you. Let’s figure out how to get through life’s sticky moments together, and find a way forward that works for your family, your relationships, and you.
With patience and understanding,
Amy Johnson
